Firstly, the bin looks great, the automatic lids is super useful and it fits a lot in it for how sleek it looks. Occasionally the lids get stuck and so don’t open as quick, so you’ll need to occasionally clean the top of the bin to avoid this. Also it would be quite useful if the sensor worked in front of the bin rather than just on top, as occasionally it takes two attempts to open it. That said i’m really happy with it and would recommend!

The design of the bin is sleek, has a fingerprint-free finish and fits in really well with my modern kitchen. Although it is 45 litre, the bin is still quite compact and not too obtrusive. It’s great having the sensor in the lid so that it is hands-free opening, I’ve found it very useful and had no issues with it so far. The only downside of the bin is that the manual open/close buttons don’t work without the batteries in, which might be annoying if you don’t have spare batteries to hand when they run out. I haven’t had the bin for long enough to know what the battery life will be. Aside from that, I really like the bin and am happy with it.

I’m really impressed with this bin – not only is it so much more hygienic (which is what initially drew me to a sensor bin), it’s the perfect size meaning I don’t have to take it out too often but not so big that it doesn’t get emptied enough or wastes bin bags. A standard size bin bag fits in it comfortably without feeling stretched or excessive (it doesn’t hang outside of the bin either – it can simply be hidden inside around the inner section without dropping to the bottom), and it’s easy to empty by simply lifting that inner section.
Although it does take 6 batteries, this does last. The lid opens cleanly and quietly just by hovering your hand over it, with enough space to empty your contents inside. My only criticism is that I would like it to stay open for an additional 2-3 seconds just to avoid any issues of it closing part way through putting things in it which has happened once or twice. That being said, it hasn’t been a major issue and overall I’m very happy with this bin.
