We're thrilled to share that our Deluxe Mirage T Sensor Bin has been awarded Best Buy Kitchen Bin in The Telegraph's 2026 kitchen bin awards.
The independent review, conducted by Ellis, put bins from a variety of brands through rigorous real-world testing; evaluating design, ease of use, cleaning, and value for money across users of all ages. Our Deluxe Mirage T came out on top.
What the reviewer said
The Telegraph highlighted several standout features:
"The EKO Deluxe Mirage T Sensor Bin is a sturdy and quality receptacle with a decent capacity. It boasts one of the slickest and quietest openings of all the sensor kitchen bins I tested."
The review praised the bin's versatility, noting that while the hands-free sensor is the star, a touch-open option means the lid can stay open when you need it to. The 50-litre capacity impressed, especially given its compact footprint:
"It doesn't take up much space, relative to the capacity."
Day-to-day usability scored highly too. The bag ring keeps liners neatly in place "without it protruding," and the high-shine stainless steel finish stayed fingerprint-free throughout testing. The built-in deodoriser compartment; compatible with EKO carbon odour filters and perfume capsules; was called out as "another small benefit."
The verdict?
"If you only need one kitchen bin or are looking for a sensor bin under £150, this is an excellent choice."
Designed for real life
At EKO, we believe a kitchen bin should work seamlessly; quiet, hygienic, and built to last. The Deluxe Mirage T reflects that philosophy, and we're proud to see it recognised by one of the UK's most trusted newspapers.
